Thanks to your donations: Progress and hope in Kenya through the construction of sanitary facilities and support for schools
God’s blessings accompany us every day as we work in Kenya to improve people’s lives. Thanks to your generous donations, we can continue our projects and make significant progress. We would like to share these experiences and our sincere thanks with you.
Our team is working tirelessly to build new sanitation facilities for schools in Kenya. Thanks to your donations and support, we can continue building these important facilities to give young girls access to a safe and hygienic environment during their school years.
During our trip we visited a school with 1000 pupils and could experience the joy and gratitude of the children. Their beaming faces are a reminder of why we do this work and how important it is to support the future of the next generation in Kenya.
Unfortunately, there are still many schools that urgently need our help. In a primary school for 400 children we found appalling conditions: Stones for seats, no desks and only two toilets without water. This shows how important our mission is and how much work still lies ahead of us.
We are deeply grateful for God’s guidance and the support of people like you who make our projects in Kenya possible. If you feel touched by our work and would like to continue supporting us, we invite you to do so at your own discretion. Every donation helps to make positive changes in the lives of those who need our help most. May God’s blessings and peace be with you as we work together to make the world a better place.
We support girls who have fled forced marriage and circumcision.
In Ortum, we are unfortunately personally and first-hand confronted with forced marriage and female circumcision in the region. We were deeply shocked to meet girls who are directly affected or who had to seek shelter in school from the villages in order not to be forcibly married.
The prerequisite for marriage is circumcision of the female genitalia. Although this practice has been banned in Kenya for years and is punishable by imprisonment, it is still practised in remote areas. It is true that young girls from the age of 9 are forced to marry old men in exchange for wealth. This is an “offer” that many poor families cannot resist.
Would you like to donate the school fees for a girl in Ortum?
